WIRELESS VIBRATION SENSORS EASE IMPLEMENTATION OF CBM
The
Maintenance WatchdogÔ wireless vibration
monitoring system eases the implementation of condition based maintenance (CBM) in industrial environments by eliminating
expensive wiring costs. Sensors can be easily installed and reallocated as needed with no additions to the collection infrastructure. The system includes piezoelectric accelerometers, laser tachometers, and control/display
software.
The
accelerometer contains a precision piezoelectric sensor, temperature sensor, digital signal processor, data memory, wireless
transceiver, internal battery, and an internal antenna. Powered with an internal
Lithium battery, the solid-state Accelerometer collects and transmits time waveform and spectral vibration data securely via
a wireless link. Thousands of units may share the same radio network. Software
control from a networked PC allows operators to configure and monitor vibration data, be informed of alarm conditions, and
review historical trending.
